Losing Breast Mass After Pregnancy
Being pregnant can be a wonderful time. It’s a time when a woman can have the life that is inside of her all to herself and it’s a time when she feels more feminine than she’s ever felt before. There are often plenty of not-so-nice side effects to being pregnant, including morning sickness, heartburn, and others that can make carrying a child not the most pleasant thing in the world. Your Body and Pregnancy
When you get pregnant, estrogen takes over your body. It allows your body to grow the child that is inside of you and can often do strange things, including making it more difficult to focus on certain things (a condition that is known as pregnancy brain) and making a woman more emotional than she normally is. It can also, however, allow a woman who has had a small chest all of her life to experience the joys of having a chest that is larger than she’s ever had before.
During pregnancy the estrogen flows through all parts of the body, and one part of the body that is always changed are the breasts. The Mass Deflates
Once a child is born, however, the tissues slowly go down thanks to the lower estrogen in the body. Some women find that their chests deflate fairly quickly, while others, usually those who breastfeed, get to enjoy larger cups for a much longer period of time. Once they stop breastfeeding, however, the mass will go down, and women often find themselves missing the mass that they had gotten used to.
