Different Types of Surgery

Thanks to celebrities, more and more women are choosing to undergo breast enhancement surgery. This surgery seems glamorous at first, and many women believe that it is the only answer to their problems. The surgery, however, is often extremely painful and is also very expensive, causing many women to regret getting the surgery in the first place. Women who are looking to grow their chest a bit larger can often do so by using a breast enhancement cream. These creams are designed to help re-activate the estrogen which caused the chest to grow when the woman was just a girl and going through puberty. Unfortunately these same women do not realize that a cream can help their chest to grow larger and often choose plastic surgery as their answer.

What To Know

If a woman chooses to avoid a breast enhancement cream  and to get plastic surgery, she should know exactly what types of surgery there are. There are a few main types of surgery. The first is what is known as a mastopexy. This surgery is designed to raise and change the shape of a chest that has begun to sag. Women who are looking for their chest to be enlarged, however, would generally not want a mastopexy but would, instead, look for implants.

Implants are bags that are filled with either silicone or saline. While it used to be that all implants were filled with silicone, leaking implants has caused most plastic surgeons to use saline, even though the saline implants will not give the same high end result as the silicone implants did. When getting an implant the patient is put under anesthesia and an incision is made in the muscle, usually at the bottom of the breast. Surgeons try to make the smallest incision possible so as to minimize scarring. They may also choose to make an incision around the areola in order to put the implant into the hole that is left behind, stitching the areola up after they are done putting in the implant.

The implants are then filled with the liquid that has been chosen by the surgeon and the patient is stitched up. After a short time she will wake up, but the healing does not end there. It often takes weeks for the patient to be able to move around easily, and more than that for the woman to be able to go back to work without feeling any pain.

While plastic surgery is definitely an answer for someone who is looking to have her chest made larger, it isn’t the only answer. Breast enhancement creams work just as well as plastic surgery, are much less expensive, and don’t involve the serious recovery time that going under the knife does.
